Thank you for visiting alanmcgillbooks! I'm so excited you made it. This website, blog post, and everything here has been a long time coming. While I'm a relatively new author, I've been writing stories for a very long time. The advent of modern technology has made it possible for me to bring those stories to life.
I don't really think of myself as a writer, but I do aspire to be a good storyteller. My goal is to entertain with either fiction or non-fiction. This blog page will be the latter.
But this blog thing is new territory for me, much like social media. Unlike my stories, it feels more personal. While I do enjoy using wall-breaks in my books, this seems like I’m speaking directly to you in a non-fiction way, despite us not being in the same room or on the phone. And, you haven’t asked my opinion about anything, so I’m guessing on what you would like to discuss or hear me talk about.
I don’t really have a blog posting schedule, but it is my intention to post something new once a month. Most blogs will center around my adventures, funny stories, entertainment, books, pop culture, and other things that interest me and hopefully you. There may even be a review or two, although I am usually reluctant to post reviews on most forms of art. I’ll explain why in an upcoming blog.
